Ground Burial: Mountain View Memorial Cemetery provides a selection of ground interment property to individuals and families on an immediate need basis and also for pre-planning. Gravesites are $700.00 and liners are $450.00 (all prices are subject to change).
Cremated Remains: For individuals and families who prefer above ground interment, spaces are available in a columbarium. Niches are $500.00. Use of our scatter garden is $200.00.
Services: Labor fees for interment services (known as opening & closing), apply when a gravesite ($450.00), or niche site ($200.00) is prepared for the interment service. Outer burial receptacles (burial
vaults) are required where applicable within the cemetery.
Memorialization:
Memorial Monuments (headstones) may be arranged through the cemetery office. Currently, flat granite and bronze memorials are preferred for lawn care purposes, but exceptions can be made upon request and review by the cemetery. We also offer memorial pictures, benches, religious emblems and statues in specific areas throughout the cemetery.
Rules:
- Visiting hours are from dawn to dusk.
- All cut flowers must be placed in approved containers.
- No trees, shrubs or other plants shall be placed or planted on the grounds.
- All decorations shall be subject to removal by the Sexton.
- Approved headstones only.
- Second interments of immediate family (father, mother, husband, wife, sibling, or a child) are allowed if authorized and the grave is opened and closed by the Cemetery. A maximum of two headstones are allowed on a plot.
Donations:
We rely on volunteers and donations for much of our upkeep. As a 501(c) non profit corporation, your donation may be tax deductible. We welcome all checks mailed to the cemetery. Contact the cemetery if you would like to volunteer your gardening skills. Finally, a bequest can provide a lasting legacy that can offer significant estate, capital gain and income tax savings for your beneficiaries. To discuss gift opportunities, contact either the president or the sexton (find our contact info above).
